The Facebook Class Action Settlement Is Real

In April 2023, people who use social media online started to wonder if a proposed class action settlement for $725 million was actually a scam.

It is real.

The case started with the Cambridge Analytica scandal in 2018.  It turned out that the now-defunct political ad marketing firm had used personal information from millions of Facebook users to target voters during the 2016 presidential election. In the lawsuit, plaintiffs alleged that 87 million users had their data shared by Facebook without permission.

Make A Claim

People with active U.S. Facebook accounts between May 2007 and December 2022 have until August 25 to make a claim.

Individual settlement payments have not yet been set up because payouts depend on how many users file claims and how long each user has a Facebook account.

It is easy to make a claim.  I did it, and it took me less than 5 minutes.

Just click this link to the claim website and provide your information.

Be Careful Of Scam Websites

But be careful of scam websites. The above link is verified and real, while links provided by others are not so much.

If you make a claim, you will likely get cash in late 2023 or early 2024. It won’t be a lot of money, and the amounts for each claim have not yet been calculated.

But no matter how small the payout, any payout is better than no payout.  So why not take five minutes and fill out the form and make a claim?
